Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism: April and May are when bergs are most plentiful, but they may be locked in sea ice, so late May and early June are suggested for viewing. Source

Summer rentals sell out, says NL Tourism, and in June 2026 CTV reported St. John's airport agencies booked for nearly all of summer.

Month by month at each airport
Averages, not a forecast: Environment and Climate Change Canada's climate normals, 1981–2010, at each airport's weather station. High and low are the average daily high and low in °C; wet days are days with 0.2 mm or more of rain or snow, and fog days days with any fog, each averaged over the month. Daylight is sunrise to sunset on the 15th, worked out from the airport's latitude.
