How far are you from the airport? Every route on this site answers it with a measured figure — driven out of a routing engine, not a brochure, with the source and check date printed on the page. Any of those maps can sit on your own site, free, with your property pinned on it.
Not our estimate — the province’s
74% of vacation visitors arrive in Newfoundland and Labrador by air— 81% of them in the fall. They land, and then they have to get somewhere.
38% use a Visitor Information Centre during their trip, and 60% of those are asking for directions to attractions or sites of interest. That is, without stretching it, the question this site exists to answer — and your page can answer it before they go looking for a building.
A destination website is used by 48% of vacationers while they are in the province, ahead of the province’s own site at 26%. In-trip is the bigger moment, not pre-trip.

- It is a plain iframe. No script runs on your page, no account, no cost. The small fromtheairport.xyz mark on the widget is the whole trade.
- We do not choose who appears. The stays listed on route pages are whatever OpenStreetMap records, measured and sorted by drive time — no stars, no prices, no rankings. Not there? Add yourself on OpenStreetMap and you will be there on the next build.
- We never rank you against your neighbours. This site recommends no operators, so embedding it cannot steer your guests to a competitor.
- If we ever stop, the iframe simply goes blank — it cannot break your page, and your site loses nothing but the map.
- Photographs are handled properly. A photograph cannot be published here without a credit, a licence and a link to its source — the build fails if any of the three is missing. Contribute one →

For towns: how a community improves its own page
Every town on this site got here by being measurable — and every one of them can deepen its own presence today, without asking us, because the site reads from open sources a town can feed:
- Map yourselves. Some pages say it plainly: the open map barely knows your island. A wharf, a beach, a trailhead, a museum added to OpenStreetMap appears here — and on every other map-built site on earth — within days. One afternoon, one phone, permanent.
- Send the photographs only you have. Credited, licensed on your terms, via the contribute page — including the timestamped berg-and-whale shots that become verified sightings under the rules there.
- Tell us what's true, with the town's own source. A town office page, a heritage society's history, a festival's real dates — public bodies are linkable for their own facts, the same rule parks and clubs already get here.
- Propose the routes and stops we missed under the published criteria — local knowledge, mapped, is exactly what we can't compute and can verify.
What we can never take, from anyone: boosterism without a source, superlatives nobody measured, or a thumb on the scale between one town and the next. The deal is the same as everywhere on this site — what's true and checkable gets measured and shown; the town that feeds the open map fastest simply has the most to show.
