Drive measured Oct 20, 2026, Badger to Norris Arm. Your maps app gives the time on the day. How we measure

457.4 km, Badger to Norris Arm. The province’s Exploits Valley follows the island’s longest river from Badger down to the Bay of Exploits. Route 370 runs out to Buchans and Red Indian Lake. The Trans-Canada takes you through Grand Falls-Windsor and Bishop’s Falls, then Routes 350 and 352 go up both sides of the bay.

Three roads end at the water. Buchans, Leading Tickles and Fortune Harbour are each driven out and back, which is why the figure is higher than the province’s. Norris Arm, at the end, has the Fox Moth Museum and the Norris Arm Heritage & Arts Centre, per the province’s tourism site.

Questions

How far is the Exploits Valley drive?+

457.4 km, measured from Badger out to Buchans and back, along the Trans-Canada to Grand Falls-Windsor and Bishop's Falls, up Route 350 to Botwood and Leading Tickles, out Route 352 to Fortune Harbour and back, then Route 351 to Norris Arm. Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, which names the drive, gives about 386 km. Most of the gap is the three dead-end roads, which this page drives to their ends and back.

Where does it start, and which way round?+

The province starts it at Badger, on the Trans-Canada, and so does this page. It ends at Norris Arm, back on the Trans-Canada further east. The province says it can be driven in reverse, and the distance is the same.

Do I have to drive every branch?+

No. Buchans, Leading Tickles and Fortune Harbour are each at the end of a road. Skip one and you save its out-and-back. The stops say how far each one is off the line.
