Worth stopping for

Chamber Cove Trail, St. Lawrence

On the way to…

  1. Heritage Run →

The Chamber Cove Heritage Walk follows the coast to a memorial for 1942, when two U.S. warships ran aground near St. Lawrence. People from St. Lawrence and Lawn rescued 186 sailors and took them into their homes. One was Lanier Phillips, who went on to help desegregate the U.S. Navy, as the province's tourism site tells it.

Stopping here adds about 8.1 km to that drive (316 km start to finish).
