Worth stopping for
Blow Me Down Cross Country Ski Park
On the way to…
The west coast's cross-country answer to Marble Mountain's downhill, ten minutes south of the city: 37 km of trails mapped in OpenStreetMap as piste:type=nordic — 27 of them named, from Jack Rabbit to Heart Break Ridge — plus a mapped biathlon range and a Main Lodge, measured from the map 2026-09-04. Grooming, season and fees are the club's call, not ours; the live strip above says whether there is snow on the ground at all. This is the fully drawn nordic network the Gander side's Airport Nordic is still waiting for.
Stopping here adds about 10 min and 6.8 km to that drive (47 min door to door).
Drive it with your own nav:Organic Maps →OsmAnd →Apple →Google →Waze →The first two run on OpenStreetMap and don't track you — the same map this site is built from.
What the map knows
While you're stopped here: Captain James Cook Memorial (4.1 km away) · Pepsi Centre (4.2 km away) · Gorge Viewpoint (6 km away)
The map last touched this element on 2021-04-01 — an old date is not proof of closure, only of nobody updating the map; if you know better, edit OpenStreetMap and every site built on it learns.
All of it read from the cited element and this site's own measured stops (2026-09-05); nothing above is our endorsement — it is the map's record.
Where this pin comes from: OpenStreetMap way/464926853 → — the same element every figure on this page is checked against.
